I'm currently doing my "happy dance" because I was finally able to get some new fashion items to add to my closet and I just finished editing this quick haul for you guys with all of my great finds.

I took advantage of the end of winter sales going on at the moment at Forever 21, ZARA and H&M. ALL of these items were each under $15! Can you guys believe that? So if you didn't know about these awesome ongoing sales now you do. Go visit the store sites before they run out of the good stuff!

Let me know in the comments below which item was your favorite?

I have been a fan of Curlformer rollers since the start of my natural hair journey. The ones shown are actually imitation ones since I was unable to afford buying the real ones back then. After I tried them for quite some time I realized that these dupe ones worked just fine on my hair and I could not justify spending $60 more to get the real ones.
Years later, the Hydra Curlformer came into the picture and I used it for my wash n' gos as well as some twist-outs to achieve some curl definition. However, what I did not know until recently is that the Hydra Curlformer can also be used for straight styles such as blowouts, roller sets and roller sets! The idea for this video came from that realization, I wanted to test the pairing of both the Curlformer rollers and the Hydra Curllformer to see if my curls would be any different.

Below are my results of my fun experiment:

Wearing black lipstick is definitely not for the faint-hearted! The color is so daring that the first thing you might think of is that it is too goth. I myself, have struggled with making this lipstick work. In fact, this is my second time wearing it.
I learned that to make this shade work you must make it the center of the look. In turn, the eyeshadows should be complementary to the look rather than adversary.

In the video above you can see how I finally made this lipstick work in a sultry way.

Have you tried wearing black lipstick before? Let me know in the comments below which black lipstick is your favorite.

Dear Fashionistas,

Happy new year 2018! The end of the year festivities passed in a blur. Truthfully, 2017 was a year full of difficult lessons for me. I went through many struggles this past year, many of which I did not share with you all because I want this blog to be a source of positivity for you all. I'm still learning and dealing with all that happened to me this past year but in the end what I wanted to say is that despite all here I am, still standing and fighting for my dreams.

Below are the best happy snapshot moments of 2017. Despite all, I did manage to fit in many laughs, in the company of great friends/family, and I'm grateful for that.

For 2018 my plan is to focus more on me and what I want for my life. I want to develop myself more both mentally and physically so that I can deal with issues more efficiently. My career is still up in the air really and my goal is to define it with more certainty. I've always loved my creative side but unfortunately creativity doesn't always pay off the bills. Still, I'm putting more effort into the hobbies I love to transform them into my career. My dream board has remained the same as it is a working progress.

In addition, I was encouraged by Peter to start daily vlogging to not only document this period of growth in my life but also so that I can learn to be more comfortable in front of the camera. I officially uploaded my first daily vlog today as you can see below. I hope these vlogs can give you a glimpse into my life. And that they can show you that fashionistas like me are real people with lives that are not always glamorous.

Let me know in the comments below what your resolutions for 2018 are.

Sheyla ♥
